Synthesis of Methyl 2-methyl-α-oxophenylacetate

2-甲基苯甲酰腈水解制2-甲基-α-氧基苯乙酸甲酯中,物质量比n(2-甲基苯甲酰腈):n(NaCl):n(浓H_2SO_4):n(H_2O)=10∶1∶10∶10,反应温度维持在45℃,反应1.0h,再加入甲醇回流1.5h,可得纯度为90.69%的产物2-甲基-α-氧基苯乙酸甲酯,收率为77.99%.

Methyl 2-methyl-(-oxophenylacetate was synthesized by the hydrolysis of 2-methyl-α-oxobenzoyl cyanidewith concentrated sulfuric acid.Effect of concentrated sulfuric acid,reaction temperature,time and solvent on yields wasstudied.The ratio of 2-methyl-α-oxobenzoyl cyanide:sodium chloride:water:concentrated sulphuric acid was chosen as 10:1:10:10 and the mixture was kept in 45℃ for one hour to give the yield of 78%,with purity of 90.69%.
