本文提出一种新的矢量量化图象编码方法。这种方法不同于通常矢量量化图象编码方法的地方在于,它利用若干空间域图象变换来构造码书,这些图象变换本身也构成码书中码矢的索引。这样就在解码端,免除了预置码书的累赘。本文提供了这种方法的实验实例。

A new method of vector quantization on image coding is presented in this thesis. Other than traditional vector quantization, this method constructs codebook via image transformations on space domain, which, per se, form the indexes to the code vectors in the codebook. In this way, we avoid the trouble of presetting codebook when decoding the encoded data. A laboratory example is also given here.
