Study Pro-Marxist Theories abroad in Order toDevelop Socialism at Home

当代西方同情马克思主义的思想家对我们的启示 ,不仅在于他们在当代形势下对马克思主义的浓厚兴趣 ,而且在于他们为发展马克思主义思想传统所作的种种努力。比方说 ,他们对“社会主义法治国家”的讨论 ,就像他们对“社会主义市场经济”的讨论一样 ,对于我们探索具有中国特色的社会主义道路 。

We can learn a lot from contemporary Western Marxists or pro-Marxist thinkers not only because of their strong interest in Marxism under current situations,but also because of their efforts to develop the intellectual tradition of Marxism in various aspects. Their discussion of the idea of “socialist rule of law” or “socialist constitutionalism” ,for example , is no less important to our endeavor to search for a model of socialism with Chinese characteris-tics than their discussion of the idea of “socialist market economy”.
