从对抗走向缓和——析越南战争时期的中美关系

From confronting to abating ——The Sino-America relation during the Vietnam War

20世纪 60年代至 70年代的越南战争时期,是中美关系发生重大变化的时期。中国援越抗美,中美之间自朝鲜战争后以间接方式进行了又一场军事较量。但也正是在这场战争中,中美关系发生了重要变化,由原来的对抗走向缓和。双方以务实的态度去处理国际问题,共同的国家安全利益为中美两国关系的缓和提供了现实基础。

During the 1960’s and 1970’s, when the Vietnam War occurred, great changes took place in the Sino-America relation. China’s support to Vietnam caused another tension in terms of the relationship between China and the US after the Korean War. However, Vietnam War resulted in another consequence, that is, a transformation of the Sino-America relationship from being confronting with each other towards making peace. During this period, both China and the US tried to deal with all international problems with a practical attitude, which provided a premise for a peaceful development of the relationship between the two nations.
