大国的兴起是国际关系的恒常状态。现实主义习惯于以一种物质主义的经验眼光来看世界政治,认为权力界定一国的利益和行为,随着一国权力的增长,新兴大国必然挑战现存秩序,引发持久的权力转移冲突,从而导致整个国际体系的动荡与颠覆。本文认为现实主义陷入了一系列理论困境,它偏执于对国际关系作物质性的因果解释,忽视了国际政治的社会文化特性及其社会建构作用,从而对大国兴起做了不恰当的预言。

Realism get used to study the politics of the world with one experience eyes of materialism, think power defines the benefit and behavior of one country, with the growth of one country's power , the new developing big country must challenge the extant order,cause lasting power to shift the conflict,thus causes the turbulence and subversion of the whole international system. This text thinks realism has fallen into a series of cognitive predicaments , it is bigoted explaining the crop quality cause and effect of the international relations, the social cultural characteristic and the society of ignoring international politics to build the function of constructing , thus done the prophecy not appropriate to that the big country rose.
