The extraction process of the Chinese herbal medicine is playing an important role in improving the quality of the medicine and accelerating the development of the new medicine. The microwave-assisted extraction (MAE) method is more advantageous than other traditional extraction methods due to its higher yields, less time and lower cost. Therefore, the MAE has its unique superiority over conventional methods in extracting available components from medicinal herb.
