Studies on the Economic And Practical Results of the Existing Information Retrieval Means

本文运用比较学的方法对现有的4种文献检索手段(手工检索、引进磁带自建西文库检索、CD—ROM 光盘数据库检索和国际联机检索)进行了较全面的探讨。文中概括了4种方法的现状,综合分析了它们的经济性和实用性,并对其今后发展作了预测。

Using the comparative method,an overall investigation is made on the existing four information retrievalmeans including the manual retrieval,the self-established western language magnetic tape database retrieval,CD-ROM compact disk database retrieval and international online information retrieval.The current status of the four existing retrieval means is presented.a comprehensive analysis on their econo-mic and practical results is made,and their developments in the future are predicted.
