摘要
The lamentation on Jiangnan, a fu (descriptive prose) by Yu Xin is his masterpiece that expresses his thought of Xiangguan. The sentence in the work "My Zhangyu (an official name) started from Zhou" provides an important clue for the study on the relationship between Yu clan in Xinye and that in Yingchuan. It appears to be obedience and flattery to North Zhou, and an explanation to his fellow countrymen, but its real purpose is to draw a line with Yu clan in Yingchuan. It expresses not only the pride of Yu clan in Xinye and their ancestors, but also the complicated feeling of being shameful of serving another master.
