大运高速公路太原段生态经济林带建设工程全长149.0km,占地面积约2981.00hm2,是公益性质的林业生态工程。实施大运高速公路生态经济林带的建设,加强和恢复这一地区的森林资源,突出地发挥生态效益,在一定程度上是拯救太原市生态环境最有效、最直接的措施。建好这条林带对进一步提高太原市的知名度,改善投资环境,重塑历史名城的形象,促进国民经济的持续、快速、稳定的发展都具有非常重要的战略意义。
