托形格缩略语及其认知分析

所谓托形格 ,指故意将几个 (两个以上 )意义之间有关联的词语缩合成较短的语音形式 ,托用一个生活中旧有的 ,熟知度较高的“名”词 ,使这个旧“名”词表达全新的意义 ,而自身的语义却隐含不现。托旧形、表新义是这类缩略词语最显著的特征。托形格缩略语的产生 ,说明语言是社会的图像。

The article aims at elucidating many features of a particular form of abbreviation,namely the so-called'Tuoxing abbreviation'(literal,form-borrowing abbreviation)by a comparison between this and other forms of abbreviation。A tentative cognitive explanation is also offered to it. It is pointed out that 'Tuoxing abbreviation' is an evidence that language is a picture of the world and that people need not only a quick speed in utterance generation and interpretation.
