在外经贸英语中，名词作为中心词，它的修饰语有单个词修饰语、短语修饰语和从句修饰语。这些修饰语可以前置，也可以后置。在翻译这些修饰语时，无论前置修饰语，还是后置修饰语，一般都作前置处理，但对从句修饰语和短语修饰语的翻译，应该采取比较灵活的处理方法。

In English for foreign economy and trade,the modifiers of nouns can be single words,phrases or clauses.These modifiers can beput either before or after the nouns used as head words.In the translation of the modifiers,whether pre-modification or post-modifica-tion,the modifiers are usually translated into Chinese as pre-modifiers.A relatively flexible method should be applied in the translation ofclauses and phrases used as modifiers.
