长沙抢米风潮中的官绅斗争新探

A New Research on the Conflict between the Gentry and Political Power in the Struggle for Rice in Changsha

史学界已经对长沙抢米风潮中的官绅斗争进行了一定的研究,但是,研究者大多将目光集中在四大劣绅与政权之间的矛盾斗争上。其实,长沙抢米风潮的官绅斗争中,尽管有一些劣绅、旧绅参与其中,但正绅、新绅无疑是与政权斗争的主要力量,绅权与政权之间的矛盾斗争明显具有新旧斗争的性质,这对晚清湖南政局产生了重要而深刻的影响。

Previously there has already been some researches done in the academic circles of history regarding the conflict between the gentry and political power. However most scholars only attention to the conflict between 'the four big evil gentry' and Political Power in the struggle for rice in Changsha. Yet the fact was that the progressive gentry and the decent gentry played more important roles in the struggle than the evil gentry and the stubborn gentry, which exerted great and deep impacts on the political situation of Hunan in late Qing dynasty.
