A careful analysis of the successes of Wuhan University of Science and Technology (WUST) in running branch colleges with foreign university, Hong Kong business company, domestic enterprises and military academy shows that these approaches to cooperation conform to the inherent laws of higher education and represent the developing trend. Having promoted the fast, healthy growth of WUST, the cooperation may also serve as reference for the development of higher education across the nation.
