将史前中国解释为巫术占主导地位的社会 ,对历史上各种来源多样、性质复杂的传说不加辨析和区分 ,而是一无例外地视为著名巫师及其巫术的证据 ,这是近年来中国古史研究中一种显著的错误倾向。作为西方古典人类学单线进化理论的产物 ,这些解释不仅错误地判断了中国古代文化的现实主义特质 ,与历史的实际大相径庭 ,同时也造成对大量古史材料的误读 。

The interpretation of Prehistoric China as the society with witchcraft occupying an leading position and the thinking of various kinds of legends with various source and complicated nature as the evidence of the famous wizards and their witchcraft unexceptionally without differentiation and analysis is a kind of remarkable wrong inclination in the study of Chinese ancient history in recent years. As the result of the one-way evolution theory in western classical anthropology, these interpretations not merely caused wrong judgments of the realistic speciality of China's ancient civilization, making it far from the reality of history. At the same time, they caused the misunderstanding of a large number of ancient history materials as well and made the study of ancient history fall into the unnecessary confusion.
