With the deep-going of the higher education reform, the problems of the weak student groups in the institution of higher learning begin to emerge. Starting with types of the weak student groups in colleges, the article analyzes peculiarities of every type, and discusses about how the related department especially the ideological and political workers carry out the work in accordance with them, and how to promote their development in an all-round way.
