《冒号分类法》与《中图法》整体结构比较

An Overall Structural Comparison between Colon Classification and Chinese Library Classification

运用范畴、划分、概念、空间等的原理和方法,对《冒号分类法》、《中图法》作了两点比较: 1两种情报语言分类表结构的组织方法不同; 2两种情报语言的词汇语义概念和语法规则不同。结论:《中图法》类表的分类体系与用它组织的文献集合形成的分类体系一致,结构固定,《冒号分类法》则不一致,用其组织文献形成的体系结构随着文献的增加、新学科的增加而变化;在标记制度上,《中图法》只能从类号的末端扩展加细,《冒号分类法》分段标引,每个分面类号的末端都能进行扩展;《中图法》只提供分类检索途径,《冒号分类法》既可从分类途径又可从主题途径进行检索。因此,分面组配情报语言的研究应得到重视。

Colon Classification and Chinese Library Classification are compared, by using the principle and method of category, division, concept and space, in two aspects: 1. The organizing methods of the structures of the information language classification tables are different. 2. The lexical semantic concepts and grammatical rules of the two information languages are different. Conclusion: The classification system of the Chinese Library Classification is in conformity with the classification system formed by using it to organize the sets of documents and the structure is stabilized. The Colon Classification is not in conformity with the system so formed which changes with in increase of documents and new disciplines. With regard to the symbolizing system, the Chinese Library Classification can only be extended at the end of the classification symbols while the Colon Classification can be indexed in sectors with the possibility of extending at the end of the class symbol of each distribution surface. The Chinese Library Classification can only provide classification retrieving while the Colon classification can be used to retrieve both by classification and by theme. Therefore importance should be attached to the study of the surface distribution of information language.
