In the paper, the finite element analysis of the global structure and the strength evaluation on hull structure of the Small Waterplane Area Oil Field Ferry are expounded and, on the basis of that, some special structure problems of this ship type, including control of global hull structure stiffness, stress concentration, temperature stress and prevention of hull vibration, are discussed.
