江泽民同志在“七一”讲话论述的“中国共产党要始终代表中国先进文化的前进方向”的重要思想 ,指明我们党在国际国内形势的深刻变化下必须坚持先进文化的前进方向 ,加强有中国特色的社会主义文化建设 ,必须继承和发扬一切优秀文化 ,加强思想道德建设 ,尊重知识和人才 。

The important thought “to make our Party forever represent the orientation of the development of China’s advanced culture”,which is in Comrade Jiang Zemin’s“July 1”speech,indicates clearly that in the circumstances that the international and domestic situations have changed greatly,our Party must follow the advanced cultural orientation and conscientiously develop culture with Chinese characteristics,carry on and develop all the fine cultures and strengthen socialist ideological and ethical building,respect knowledge and talent and help to make big progress in science and technology and innovation.
