文章从比较诗学入手,论述了中国古典诗歌和日本俳句的英译在题材、风格、格律、句法、审美等方面对意象主义诗歌产生的影响,从而论证了翻译在跨文化交流中起着重要的作用。

This paper, based on comparative poetry, is to discuss the influence of English version of Sino-Japan's poetry on the British-American Imagist Movement from points of subject, style, syntax, meter, and aesthetics etc, in order to prove the impact of translation on intercultural communication.
