摘要
叶公超对英国现代派大师T .S .艾略特在中国的传播与接受做出了重要贡献 ,他不仅第一个在中国介绍艾氏的诗与诗论 ,而且还开启了我国的艾略特研究之风。他对艾略特的深刻分析和论述 ,表明中国学者对艾略特的理解的深入与准确 ;叶公超在论著中广泛征引艾略特以佐证自己的文学观 ,表明他对艾略特诗学观点的接受与认同。
Ye Gongchao has contributed much to the spreading and reception of T.S. Eliot in China. This paper expounds on his contributions from the following three points: Ye is the first person who introduced Eliot into China. He helped translating and publishing Eliot's The Waste Land and ″Tradition and Individual Talent″ in China for the first time.Besides,he is the first researcher of T.S. Eliot and the first scholar to cite Eliot in his papers on literature in China.
