突出文章内容的阅读教学手段和活动

Content-based Reading Activities

阅读技能的培养和训练在英语各项技能中占有很大的比例,这一点不仅体现在课本内容的安排上,也体现在各种英语考试中,以及大多数学生的学习目标和习惯上。然而,阅读能力的提高是个漫长的积累过程,单就课堂教学而言,因种种原因使得投入与产出不成正比,教学气氛相对于视、听、说等也显得沉闷和无趣。本文针对阅读教学中的困难和问题,通过总结语言学以及教学法在阅读教学方面的理论和实践研究成果,结合教学实践活动,提出了一些可操作的阅读教学手段和活动。

The improvement of reading ability is one of the key targets of non-English majors in their two-year college English study. Due to the traditionally language-oriented teaching model and study patterns, the teaching and studying atmosphere of College English Reading is much boring and unattractive compared to that in the listening and speaking classes. In this paper, the author combined the theories on language pedagogy and empirical teaching experiences to put forward some content-based teaching approaches to stimulate the students'motivation and involvement in their learning activities.
