甲醇裂解气是甲醇在一定温度下发生裂解反应的产物;液体甲醇蒸发为甲醇蒸汽以及甲醇蒸汽进一步裂解为甲醇裂解气所需的热量全部由排气余热提供。汽油中掺入甲醇裂解气后,发动机可在稀薄混合气下运行,其热效率比汽油燃料高。由于混合气的快速燃烧,使燃烧过程的循环变动下降,燃烧滞后期和燃烧持续期都大为缩短。
When heated, liquid methanol is changed into methanol vapor, and methanol vapor can be still dissociated into dissociated methanol gas over suitable catalysts. The experiment of a gasoline engine fueled with gasoline and DM shows that the thermal efficiency increase. Because of the fast burning of the lean mixture, the stability of the combustion process is increased.
