THE MiCROSTRUCTURAL CHARACTERIZATION OF CAST SiCp/ZL101 ALUMINUM ALLOY COMPOSITE

摘要 用光学显微镜和电子探针对经不同处理的SiC颗粒(SiC_p)增强铝基复合材料SiC_p/ZL101的显微组织与界面元素分布进行了研究,用扫描电镜和X-ray衍射对SiC_p的形貌、相组成及SiC_p/ZL101的相组成进行了分析。结果表明,利用改进的气体保护液态搅拌设备能够制备SiC_p均匀分布、界面结合良好的SiC_p/Al复合材料。其中以氧化处理SiC_p增强ZL101复合材料的界面结合为好。在实际液态搅拌工艺条件下,SiC_p与ZL101合金液不发生形成Al_4C_3的界面反应。用氧化SiC_p作增强物时,SiC_p表面的SiO_2膜能与铝合金液元素发生形成MgAl_2O_4尖晶石的界面反应。 The microstructural characterization and alloying elements distribution in the interface between SiC particle and a■minum allcy matrix of particulate reinforced composite, SiC_p/ZI101, were studied us■ng op■ical mi■oscopy and electron probe microanalyser(EPMA). The morphology and composition of untreated and artificial oxidize■ SiC particulates and phases of the composites were analysed using scanning electr■r microscopy(SEM) and X-ray differaction. The results shown that S C_1/ZL101 composites, in which SiC particles distributed uniformly, could be fabricated by the modified melt stirring process. The oxidized SiC particle had an ideal ime■face bonding with aluminum alloy matrix. Under the practical molten metal stirring condition, no Al_4C_3 formed in SiC_p/ZL101 conposites. The spinel, MgAl_2O_4, might be formed at the interface of SiC_p/ZL101 which was reinforced by oxidized SiC particulate as a reaction product between SiC_2 film on the surface of SiC particle and alloying elements in the melten aluminum alloy.
