The procedure of quantitative TLC analysis of hydrolysates of vinyl sulfone reactive dyes is described in this paper. Silica gel was used as stationary phase, and chloroform-methanol-acetone(9:1.5:1) as developing agent, with 20 min: developing time.The results of separation were satisfactory. The minimum detectable amount was 10-8g. The relative standard deviation was 2%. The reaction rate constants of hydrolysates of 10 vinyl sulfone reactive dyes with different constitution were determined in tnis experiment. The reaction rate constant changes with the different groups of vinyl sulfone reactive dye significantly.
