Tactics for Entering the World Trade Organization(WTO)

面临经济全球化的国际竞争,马钢现状还不适应加入WTO的新形势。马钢首先要有高技术含量、高附加值的钢材产品,为此必须加快工艺技术装备结构的调整,实现产品结构的升级和优化,加盟具有国际竞争力的钢铁企业集团,发挥规模优势,同时,还应建立相应的国际市场机制的经营模式,进一步提高马钢的核心竞争力。

The present status of Maanshan Iron and Steel Co. Ltd. is still not in agreement with the new situation after entering the WTO. Facing the international competition due to the economic globalization, the company should, first of all, produce technologyintensive and high-additional-value steel products. For this reason, restructuring of technology and equipment should be accelerated to realize the upgrading and optimization of the product structure. Meanwhile efforts should be made to join forces with a steel enterprise group having world-wide competitive power, thus bringing the grand scale into full play. In addition, a more suitable business running mode should be established to adapt to the international market system to further improve the company's competitive power.
