Core Competence of University: Nature and Key element

大学核心竞争力即高校所拥有的获得外界认可并在大学竞争中获得优势的核心能力。认识大学核心竞争力本质,必须摆脱一些似是而非的观点的干扰,如将对大学核心竞争力的分析与对大学核心竞争力的构成分析相混淆,认为独有的、区别性的、难以模仿的能力才是核心竞争力等。其实,很多论者论述的大学核心竞争力的构成要素几乎涵盖了一般意义上的大学竞争力。大学核心竞争力的核心要素存于其中,但是不能将之划上等号。大学核心竞争力只能存在于三个方面:大学精神、大学制度和学科成长机制。

The core competence of a university is the core capability that is accepted in the outside world to make the university obtain the preponderance in the contest. In order to understand the core competence of university essentially,some specious conception have to be shake off , such as competence and its constitutes and so on. The core competence may exist in three respects:the spirit of universities, universities’system, the developing mechanism of a course.
