With regard to enhancing the role of the core of Dept. CPC general Party Branches in a newly- upgraded university, the writer in this article presents his viewpoints as follows: to understand in depth the connotation of political core as its prerequisite, to take an active part in decision - making of important events as its core, to coordinate various relationships as its key, and to strengthen the self- construction of Dept CPC general party branches as its guarantee.
