“两种《水浒》说”与“两截《水浒》说”论争述评

“Two-Version” or “Two-Segment”: A Review of the Debates on Water Margin

“两种《水浒》说”是张国光《水浒》研究中提出的主要观点,“两截《水浒》说”是张国光对罗尔纲《水浒传》研究主要观点的概括。所谓“两种《水浒》说”与“两截《水浒》说”的论争,在上世纪八九十年代并不存在。双方(张国光与罗尔纲的捍卫者)真正的论争发生在新旧世纪之交。本文对这场论争涉及的主要问题进行了简要述评,并对论争中所暴露出的学风问题发表了个人的看法。

The “Two-Version” theory is put forward by Zhang Guoguang on the origin of the novel Water Margin, whereas the “Two-Segment” is Zhang’s comment on Luo Ergang’s study of the novel. The debates on whether there were two versions of the novel or the novel was simply a patchwork, pieced together by different authors, did not start in the 1980s and 1990s. However, real controversies began to the last turn of the century. This paper comments on main issues the debates involved, and reveals the author’s understanding of some problems concerning different academic styles therein.
