文章以《曾在天涯》为蓝本,从价值观念与精神世界的差异、语言的困扰、爱情婚姻观的颠覆以及文化身份的重新书写四个方面探讨了新时期留学生文化身份重新书写的历程,对新时期留学生新的文化空间的构筑寄予希望。

Starting from Used to be at The Ends of Earth, this article discusses the rewrite of lately overseas students cultural identifications from four aspects: differences in value and mentality, language obsession, upset view of love and marriage, and rewrite of cultural identification. It places expectation on the establishment of new culture room of overseas students.
