Polymerase Chain Reaction, So-called PCR, is a strong and effective technique for gene amplification, structure analysis and DNA recombination in biology and medicine. In this review, the principle of PCR technique, major strategies for designing the PCR methods, developing of automatic PCR devices, and applicaiton and role of PCR technique in biomedicine were described. Some corresponding questions were also discussed.
