20世纪，围绕着汉字改革问题，国内外开展过几次激烈的讨论。但是至今也未形成统一意见。而早在1917年，孙中山先生就曾撰文．阐述了汉字的历史功绩、作用等．今天读之．我们觉得，对这场世纪之争，仍有较大的指导意义。

During the 20th century there have been several warm arguments over the reform of the Chinese character home and abroad,but no identical idea so far. However early in 1917,Sun Yat-sen wrote articles expounding the Chinses character's historical significance,functions etc, which still can be a guide to the argument even read today.
