《晋书·王羲之传》及其他文献资料中,对王羲之一家及其亲属的记载,多有空白处,且多有互相矛盾处。依据业经验证、比较可靠的资料,对父亲王旷谜一般的遭际、母亲及老师并不姓卫、父亲王旷排行为大而非行二、王敦和王导是叔父而非伯父、王羲之和王献之结婚的时间、女儿的名字等七个问题进行了考证和订正。

The history of Jin Dynasty and Biography of Wang Xizhi as well as other documents have many blanks and mutual contradictories on the account of the Wangs and his relatives. According to the experienced verification and reliable documents, the essay verifies and corrects the following seven problems: Wang kuang's (his father) mysterious suffering, mother and his teacher's surname is not Wei, Wang kuang(his father) is the first child, not the second, of the family, Wang Dun and Wang Dao are his uncles, not his elder uncles, the marriage time of Wang Xizhi and Wang Xianzhi and his daughter's name.
