摘要
本文对试点高校的现代远程教育在国民教育体系之中、网络学院在试点高校与教育培训市场之间的定位及角色进行了分析,认为试点高校的现代远程教育不应拘于学历教育,而应从国家人才培养的总体战略目标出发,更多地服务于非学历的培训教育与各类学习型组织的建设,更自觉地参与我国终身学习体系与学习型社会的建构,而网络学院在这个过程中则是一个“身份特殊的中间商”。
This paper analyzes the role of pilot distance education institutes and their online colleges in the national educational system and the education and training market. This author believes that the distance education services offered should not be restricted to award-bearing programs. Human resources development, lifelong learning and the construction of learning organizations are also important considerations. Pilot distance education institutes should aim at competing with the educational service providers from other countries. Besides, online colleges play an important role in offering education and training services to the community. 'To serve the community' is their mission, and they should answer to social demands and become more market-oriented.
