摘要
用计算机处理自然语言可以分为两大学派:基于语法分析和基于语料库.协语器就是利用语料库技术把足够多的真实语料集中到一个数据库当中,以便于人们进行查询.词汇同现是一个极其复杂的语言现象,没有任何规律性可循,加之现在也没有一本非常全面而且能够涵盖所有最新词项搭配的词典,协语器就成为英语教学者方便快捷的查询手段,它在网络时代的英语教学中起着举足轻重的作用.
Two major schools are involved in processing natural languages by computers: one is based on grammatical analysis; the other is based on corpus. Concordancer, based on the latter technology, accumu-lates abundant authentic corpora stored in a database for people to consult. Lexical collocation, a rather com-plicated language phenomenon, has no easy rules or comprehensive dictionaries for people to follow or look up. As an easily accessible and convenient way for consulting, concordancer plays an indispensable role in today's EFL teaching.
