“Fusion of Horizons”and Carrying out Some Inspection on Its Significance of Modernity

“视域融合”是伽达默尔哲学诠释学的核心概念,其形成虽晚,却有着异常深厚的思想史背景。该概念在伽达默尔哲学中具体指理解的过程性实质,是历史和现在、客体和主体、他者和自我的无限融合过程。意义境域的基本开放性和前见解的特殊性赋予了“视域融合”基本的超越性、开放性和个体性。在当前多元对话的语境中,将此概念纳入到现代性论域进行其现代性意义检审已具备比较成熟的条件和现实意义。

Fusion of Horizons”was a central concept of Hans-Georg Gadamer's philosophical hermeneutics. Though it was created late, it had very rich background of the history of thoughts. Systematic tracing back was an effective channel for our further understanding of it. The concept meant the nature of course of understanding in Gadamer's philosophy, and was unlimited process of fusions, between history and now, subject and object, others and ego. The fundmental openness of significant horizons and speciality of pre-understanding endowed 'Fusion of Horizons' with fundmental superiority, openness and individuality, which should be viewed as a response of ego-superiority, individuality and pluralism of modernity. So we tried to carry out some elementary inspection on the significance of modernity of the concept in the studying-field of modernity.
