李安的《卧虎藏龙》以东方的视听奇观和国际化的商业运作为华语影片在西方获得了巨大的荣耀,却在华人世界遭到冷遇。西热东冷的尴尬基于东西方对影片的双重误读,暗示了全球化背景下本土文化面临的处境——文化的凸现和趋同已成为主潮。
Through showing the marvelous spectacles and acoustics of the East and through commercial management,'Crouching Tiger and Hidden Dragon', a movie directed by Li An, wins great glory in the West for all Chinese movies.Unexpectedly, the movie does not receive a warm reception in China. This kind of embarrassment, which is based on thedouble (the West and the East) misreading of the movie, suggests the situation, which the domestic culture faces in thebackground of globalization. The situation is that the sudden emergence and assimilation of cultures has become the maintrend.
