With the operation efficiency as the basic criterion and according to the judgment of dimensionless resistance, dimensionless propulsion efficiency and air-cushion power, the paper analyzes the reasons of overall functional difference between two large air-cushion vehicles—the British SRN4-MK3 and Russian ZUBR (“Euro Cattle”) based on their conceptual design. The article serves also an criterion for analysing design parameters for large air-cushion vehicles.
