Jin Ping Mei, a great Chinese novel of the Ming Dynasty, in the form of everyday colloquial speech, is a highly realistic description of the social life of its time. Only with enough knowledge of articles, can a reader have a sound mastery of the novel's content above the description. And this is confirmed by the cloth and lacquerware related to the novel.
