当前人文地理学研究注重区域和空间的主线,并继承了人地关系的传统,使其研究领域和方法及手段等发生了明显的变化。人地关系地域系统成为人文地理学的中心课题,人文地理学研究的生态化、社会化、人文化倾向明显,人文地理学研究的应用性增强,区域可持续发展和区域发展综合研究受到重视,但是,人文地理学理论创新较少,而且对传统的野外调查、观察的方法有一定程度的忽视。

The current human geography research has made a point of the district and the space's main line, and carried on the tradition of the man-land relation. It makes the realm, the method and the means of human geography research a great change obviously. The regional system of man-land relation has become the center lesson in the human geography. The trend of ecosystem, society, humanism and applied-characteristic has been clear in human geography study more and more. The research of regional sustainable development and synthetical development are being strengthened too. But, the theories of human geography learning is set up the less. The right tradition of investigation and observation has been neglected to a certain degree.
