Design and Realization of Internet - based Botany Teaching System

运用互联网对传统教学进行改革已经成为当前教育界的热门话题.植物学是生物学专业的主干课程之一,不仅内容庞杂、名词术语和植物种类繁多,而且教学常常受到季节、气候、环境和植物资源等条件限制,传统的教学方法很难达到预期效果.为了提高植物学课程教学质量和效益,作者开发出植物学网络教学系统.该文主要介绍植物学网络教学系统的功能、开发环境和实现过程.

Use of Internet to change the traditional way of teaching has become a hot topic in education. Botany, as a main course in the biology major, covers a wide range of topics including a great number of special terms and species. Teaching of botany is often restricted by such factors as the season, climate, environment and plant resources. Such restrictions are a big obstacle to the traditional teaching. To solve the problem, a web - based teaching system of botany has been developed. This paper discusses the function, designing environment and process of the web - based teaching system.
