A new type of magnetic abrasive is introduced and its machining property has been studied through experiments from which the optimal proportion of the abrasive mixture has been obtained.This is significant for magnetic abrasive finishing(MAF)to be put into production and for its apˉplication in precision processing of dies and moulds.
