Briefly on Xu Shuwei's Academic Thought

许叔微的学术思想主要体现在杂病和伤寒的证治上。对于杂病 ,重视“温润以补肾” ,制方遣药灵活 ,且开络病证治之先河。伤寒论治上 ,独以八纲辨证 ,阐发《伤寒论》之旨 ,推崇仲景治法 ,且创制新方。

Xu Shuwei's academic thought is embodied in the diagnosis and treatment of Febrile and Miscellaneous Diseases. As to the miscellaneous diseases, he stressed warming and moistening to supplement the kidney and prescribed medicine flexibly. As for the febrile diseases, through analyzing and differentiating pathological conditions in accordance with the eight principle syndromes, he explained the principles of Treatise on Febrile Diseases and praised highly Zhang Zhongjing's treating principles and created the new prescriptions.
