Historical Retrospect and Experience of Exploring Modernization Road with Chinese Characteristics

现代化是一个世界性的历史范畴和社会发展过程。中国在探索社会主义现代化道路的历史过程中曾遭受了种种挫折 ,走过一些弯路 ,直到中共十一届三中全会以后 ,才找到了一条符合中国国情的具有中国特色的社会主义现代化道路。历史事实表明 ,中国的现代化要想稳步地向前发展 ,就必须始终坚持社会主义方向 ,从中国的国情出发 ,坚持以发展生产力为中心 ,坚持对外开放的政策 ,坚持经济现代化、政治现代化和人的现代化的全面发展。

Modernization is a worldwide historical catogery and a process of social development. China suffered various frustractions and defeats in the historical process of exploring the road to the socialist modernization. Not until the Third Plenary Session of the llth Central Committee of the C.P.C did china find a socialist modernization road with chinese characteristics,which fits the situation of China.The historical facts show that it is essential to insist on developing productivity as the center,open_to_outside policy,and the whole development of economic,political and people's modernization,to ensure the steady development of China's modernization.\;
