合法性问题的研究如今已成为政治学研究领域的重要组成部分。合法性是维持一个政治体系长期存在与稳定发展的重要支柱。在国外 ,对合法性概念的界定存在争议 ;在中国古代则表现为几个不同的层次 ,其君主合法性的取得与维持也有其政治文化与社会等因素 。

The legitimacy is an important part in the study of politics. It is the backbone to maintain a political system in a state of long-term existence and stable development. In abroad, there is disagreement about the definition of legitimacy, and in ancient China there were also different understandings. The obtaining and maintaining of the monarchy legitimacy are associated with political, cultural and social elements. The traditional Confucius culture is the basis for the monarchy legitimacy in ancient China.
