The origin of Japanese names and influence of Chinese culture

人类的姓名产生于社会交际的需要 ,历史的不断发展和变化更丰富了人类姓名所表达的社会意义。今天从中国文化对日本文化的影响来研究日本姓氏的本源与中国文化的传播 ,揭示日汉姓名在表层结构及深层文化内涵方面存在的共性与特性 ,探讨日本姓氏和中国姓氏是否有文化融合 ,文化传播 。

The use of names by human beings is to meet the need of social communication. The development and changes of history enriched the social meanings that human names implicate. This paper makes a study on the origin of Japanese names in terms of the influence of Chinese culture upon Japanese culture, trying to reveal the similarities and specialties in the surface structural and deep cultural intention of both Chinese and Japanese names. The study is significant in that it shows how the cultural assimilation occurred between Chinese and Japanese names as well as how Chinese culture propagated.
