西南邮电函授教育创办 40年来 ,坚持正确的办学原则 ,坚持社会主义办学方向 ,坚持为企、事业服务的宗旨。在加强教学学籍管理 ,不断提高教师队伍的文化素质、业务能力 ,提高教育质量等方面作了大量艰苦的工作 ,并得到了企业的大力支持 ,从而促进了西南邮电高函教育的长足发展。当前 ,面临知识经济时代的到来 ,邮电函授教育要加大改革力度 ,注重创新教学 ,使西南邮电高函有更大发展。

Since its founding 40 years ago, the Correspondence Education of Posts and Telecommunications in Southwest China has always been upholding socialist principles and orientation in running the school, adhering to the aim of serving enterprises and institutions, doing a great deal of strenuous work in strengthening the managment of school rolls,and in improving continuously the cultural quality, vocational level and teaching quality on the part of the faculty. It has received strong support from enterprises, which in turn has accelerated the fast development of correspondence education. Now, with the advent of knowledge economy era, the correspondence education needs to be further reformed and enough attention should be paid to innovative work of teaching so as to achieve even greater development of the Correspondence Education of Posts and Telecommunications in Southwest China.
