On the exploration of the educational pattern for qualified personnel with compound abilities — A research report on the practice in subsidiary speciality of business English

随着现代科技、经济、文化的发展 ,社会对高等教育传统的人才培养模式提出了严峻的挑战。因此 ,我们在复合型、应用型人才培养模式方面进行了探索 :通过采取设立商贸英语辅修专业的形式 ,开设体现英语知识与商贸知识交叉与融合的人文课程 ,提高学生的英语水平与应用能力。实践证明 ,我们在这方面的探索是比较成功的。

With the rapid development of science,economy and culture,a stern challenge is being posed to the traditional way of training qualified personnel for higher education.In answer to this challenge,we explored a new pattern of training qualified personnel with compound abilities.In the form of subsidiary speciality,this educational pattern offers a series of humanity courses which combine the English language with other necessary knowledge,such as business and trade,thus contributing to the improvement of the learners' abilities to use the English language.To a desirable extent,the practice turns out to be a success.
