英汉互译中的同义词语选择

无论在英语中还是在汉语中都有许多同义词 ,但这些同义词又有诸多方面的差异 ,而同义词语的选择直接影响译文的质量 ,所以在英汉互译时就面临着同义词语选择的问题。译者需在正确理解原文的基础上 ,注意从词的语体色彩、词的感情色彩、用词的轻与重、词的广义与狭义、词的政治含义、词的搭配、音韵问题及文化因素等方面进行推敲 ,尽可能选择相对恰当的词语。

There are many synonyms both in English and Chinese,but they are different in many ways,and the choice of the synonyms directly influences the quality of the translated texts,so in the mutual translation of English and Chinese,there exists the problem of the choice of the synonyms.The translators should weigh the words from their style shade,emotinal colouring,weight,broad and narrow sense,political sense,collocation,phonological and cultural factors,and try to seek the right word based on the correct understanding of the original.
