英语中 ,名词及其同根形容词都可以作定语修饰名词 ,但两者与中心词的关系不同 :名词与中心词是限定关系 ,其同根形容词与中心词是修饰关系。所以 ,二者表达的意思也有明显的不同 ,翻译时一定要正确理解 。

As attribute, noun is quite different in meaning from its same\|root adjective, since a restrictive link exists between the former and the central word while a modifying link between the latter and the central word. So the translation must be exact and true to the original.
