摘要
礼被先秦儒家奉为道德属性的最高范畴。先秦儒家将礼视为人禽之别的主要标志 ,视为决定人的价值和意义的主要标准 ,是只发现了群体的人而忽视了个体的人 ;将礼视为人的行为为思想的准则 ,忽视了决定人的行为和思想的价值及意义的其他重要标准 ,忽视了人的行为的价值为社会发展的内在动力的意义 ;将礼视为治国之本 ,而仁则是礼的重要组成部分 ,是礼的核心 。
Pre-Qin Confucianists had worshipped Propriety as the highest standard in morality. They took that as the important mark between human and animal, and the main to decide the value and significance of human. However, they only discovered the masses, not the individual. They only treated the propriety as the rule for thought but neglected other standard that decided the activities and significance of human value. They also neglected the value of human activity as a force in social development. They took the propriety as the fundament in governing a country. But humanity is an important part of propriety, and it is the core of propriety.
